Interviews, Podcasts, and Reviews

One of the great things about being an author is being interviewed, either in person or via Q & As. This page points you to interviews I've done. I've also gotten written up a few times, so I'm including links to those reviews as well.

Interviews, Podcasts, and Reviews

  • Living the Next Chapter Podcast. Here I am being interviewed by Dave Campbell, who is very interested in the Acadian history, particularly surrounding the Acadian Expulsion of 1755. Listen to the podcast.
  • Interview with Dianne Ascroft. Q & A format. Dianne was interested in how closely I stuck to reality when writing my historical fiction story. Read the interview.
  • The Seabord Review of Books. Ian Colford gives a detailed review, where he describes my novel as "wise, funny, surprising and compassionate. An absolute delight." Not bad! Read the review.
  • Craving Canlit. These are the Giller Prize folks. No I'm not up for a Giller, but I did make it to their Facebook page and YouTube channel. They wanted me to tell them what the story is about, and to read a bit of it.  Watch my Craving Canlit video.
  • Interviews With Writers. Questions about my approach to writing. Read my interview.
  • Author Journey with Anne O'Connell. My fabulous publisher, Anne O'Connell, interviews me and my also fabulous editor, Marianne Ward. Lots of energy in this interview! Watch my Author Journey interview with Anne O'Connell.
  • Midwest Book Review. In their Small Press Bookwatch, which targets US libraries, I get a positive review. Read the Midwest Book Review review.
  • The Indie View interview. They were interested in my writing process, which I call “seeding, weeding, feeding, and heeding.” Read the Indie View interview.
  • Review by Rosie Amber. A reviewer from the UK recommends my book.  Read the Rosie Amber review.
